Test if Your System is Capable Enough to Run a Game

Website “Can You Run It?” is a free online service that inspects your computer’s hardware and software settings and informs you whether or not your system can run a particular game. Basically it compares your hardware and software components against the minimum and recommended requirements for any game you select. It also provides you with a breakdown of individual components and tell you exactly where your computer excels\fails with respect to the recommended specifications and what components to change or upgrade. If you fail a test, "Can You Run It" even shows recommendations for upgrading your system so that it can handle the game of your choice.

Just visit systemrequirementslab.com, select the game you want to check from the drop down menu, and click the "Can You Run It button". The site will then require you to install a Java applet to run the test. Grant permission (Dont worry, the applet is virus free and evaluates only your system's hardware and system software) and within a few seconds returns the result.

Note : You can easily uninstall the ActiveX/Java browser component when the analysis is complete. Go to  "Add/Remove Programs (in XP) or Programs and Features (in Vista\7) and just look for the “System Requirements Lab” entry and click "Uninstall"
